VOLUNTEER POSITIONS NEEDED

Greeters:  Greeters are an extremely important part of our work.  They are often the first contact with Harvest House when people walk in the door.  They assist in welcoming guests and visitors, referring people to other agencies in the city when needed, and fielding questions.

Canteen Helpers: Canteen Helpers serve coffee, tea, snacks and food to our guests at the centre.  A caring disposition and loving smile go a long way in this job!

Cooks: Cooks are needed to prepare meals for recovery program residents.  If you love to cook, this is a very rewarding and fun way to give back.

Counsellors:  To be available to give guidance and prayer.  This position does require a qualifying interview.

Shelter Workers: Help with evening, overnight shelter, intake and welcome

Bible Study Leaders: Individuals who are interested in leading bible studies.  Can be specific areas of interest, or general bible studies.

Life Skills: Have a passion?  We would love for you to share it with a life skills class.  Cooking, Financial Management, Parenting, or any other area you may think of.

Drivers: To take guests to appointments around the city.

YMCA Escorts: Our recovery guys are able to attend the YMCA, but not without an escort.  Do you go to the gym already?  Great way to get involved!

Administration:  Database management, opening mail, writing thank you letter, answering the phone, etc.

Fundraising and Communications: Looking for skilled help in this area for project management, writing, design, phone calls, promoters, etc. 

Skilled Help: painting, drywall installers, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
